is interested in learning how to do Genealogy research
online and using word processing software to write
children's stories, but needs a new computer to achieve her
goals. She also occasionally needs assistance when problems
or questions arise with her computer.
Elaine and her husband are in a Nursing Home and receive a
$90-a-month allowance. By helping Elaine to update her
current Windows 95 computer to a new computer, she would be
able to take advantage of the free Wireless Internet Service
provided by her Nursing Home, as well as use Skype to
communicate with family and friends. She would no longer
have to spend the majority of her monthly allowance on a
monthly phone and Internet Bill.
Elaine does very well on the computer, and having a new
computer would also help to eliminate some of the hardware
problems she experiences with her current computer, helping
her to enjoy her computer more and use it more often.
